The average weight of our eyes is 7.5 g and the volume is 6.5 ml. The eye is located in a bony pit called the orbita. Such a small organ accounts for the majority of the signals coming to our brain. The eyeball consists of 3 layers. The outer layer consists of the sclera (white of the eye) and cornea, the middle layer consists of the iris (the structure that gives color to our eyes) and lens, and the inner layer consists of the retina (the retina).

    Autorefkeratometry (Computerized eye measurement) and computerized eye pressure measurement are taken by eye technicians for our patients who apply to the Eye Health and Diseases department of our hospital. Our specialist physician listens to the patient’s complaints and performs a detailed eye examination. After the examination of the patient, the appropriate treatment method is recommended for the patient.

  Ophthalmology is also a surgical branch. Some eye diseases are treated with medical drugs (glaucoma, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, uveitis, scleritis, episcleritis, creatitis), glasses and contact lenses (myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia, keratoconus, presbyopia) treatment are applied for some ailments.
